SSG Kerry W. Frith

A native of Las Vegas, Nevada, Staff Sergeant Kerry W. Frith was killed on 22 February 2002 in an MH-47 helicopter crash at sea, near Mindanao, in the Southern Philippines.
Frith enlisted in the Army in 1987 as a Medium Helicopter Repairer. In 1991, he completed Green Platoon and was assigned as a Flight Engineer to 2nd Battalion, 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment, Fort Campbell, Kentucky. He deployed to Saudi Arabia as part of Operations DESERT SHIELD/DESERT STORM, and to Somalia in support of Operation GOTHIC SERPENT. In 2001, he joined Company E, 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment, Republic of Korea.
SSG Frith was supporting Operation ENDURING FREEDOM-PHILIPPINES at the time of his death.
