MSG Michael L. McNulty

A native of Gastonia, North Carolina, Master Sergeant Michael L. McNulty died 17 June 2005 as a result of wounds suffered in combat near Al Qaim, Iraq.

McNulty enlisted in the Army as an Infantryman in 1986 and completed Basic Combat Training and Advanced Individual Training at Fort Benning, Georgia. He served in a variety of Infantry assignments and graduated from the Army Ranger Course.

MSG McNulty was assigned as a Special Operations Team Member in the U.S. Army Special Operations Command, Fort Bragg, North Carolina. He was deployed in support of Operation IRAQI FREEDOM at the time of his death.
