SGT Cheyenne C. Willey

A native of Macomb, Illinois, Sergeant Cheyenne C. Willey died 23 December 2005, from an improvised explosive device near Baghdad, Iraq.
Willey enlisted in the Army as an Infantryman in June 1995 and completed Basic Combat Training, Basic Airborne Course at Fort Benning, Georgia. He served with the 82nd Airborne Division, Fort Bragg, North Carolina until 1999. He reenlisted in June 2004 and graduated that same year from the Civil Affairs Qualification Course.
SGT Willey was assigned as a Civil Affairs Specialist in 448th Civil Affairs Battalion, Fort Lewis, Washington. He served there until his death during Operation IRAQI FREEDOM.
