A native of Columbus, Ohio, Specialist Adam L. Knox died on 17 September 2006 in Baghdad, Iraq.
Knox enlisted in the U.S. Army Reserve as a Psychological Operations Specialist in 2003. After graduating from the U.S. Army John F. Kennedy Special Warfare Center and School, Fort Bragg, North Carolina, he attended Airborne, Air Assault, and Combat Lifesaver training.
SPC Knox was assigned to the 346th Psychological Operations Company, Columbus, Ohio, in support of Operation IRAQI FREEDOM, when his patrol was engaged with small arms by enemy forces.
